During 1798 - 1801, Christians in a small village of Vietnam taking refuge from the great persecutions assembled in prayer. One day, praying before Our Lady of Lavange, the figure was surrounded by lights and Our Lady appeared to them. She presented herself as the Mother of God, encouraging and consoling them by giving them a special sign of her loving care through advising them how to heal the communities' ailments.
