His massive work, A Practical Commentary on Holy Scripture, was published in 1923 by the Publisher to the Holy Apostolic See. A considerable number of bishops and archbishops thoroughly enjoyed and recommended the book, calling it "admirable" and "excellent". It was originally titled A Practical Commentary on Holy Scripture for the Use of Those Who Teach Bible History, and was given the Imprimatur by Doctor Mutz, Vicar General, in 1923.
